Samuel Anthony “Tony” Silva was recently appointed to the Board of Directors for the Memphis Repertory Orchestra. Under the baton of Artistic Director William Langley, the orchestra gives concerts throughout the Memphis community in a collaborative, side-by-side setting featuring talented high school and undergraduate music students, highly accomplished amateur musicians, and professional musicians. By combining education, arts and culture, the Memphis Repertory Orchestra is at the forefront of rejuvenating enthusiasm for classical music in Memphis.
The Memphis Repertory Orchestra’s mission is one that is close to Tony’s heart. In addition to his life as an immigration attorney at Donati Law, Tony is a highly trained classical pianist deeply invested in the performance of classical music. He has performed extensively as a solo and collaborative pianist and has taught piano, chamber music, and music history at the Christian Brothers University, Lambuth University, and the University of Memphis. He continues to coach and mentor young musicians and regularly serves as an adjudicator for classical piano competitions.
