As part of the selection process, law firms are evaluated first on subjective reviews from clients and peers. Firms with a positive reputation among the local and legal communities are then carefully evaluated in order to determine the quality of their skill, experience, representation, and ethics.
The final list recognizes over 10,000 law firms in tiers, ranked nationally or in large metropolitan areas. Firms can be chosen in one or more of 80 practice areas nationally, and one or more of 118 practice areas metro statewide.
