Currently, Donati Law is partnering with the attorneys of Smith, Phillips, Mitchell, Scott & Nowak, LLP and the Stroud Law Firm on the lawsuits against German prescription drug manufacturer “Fresenius.” Patients across the Mid-South have suffered severe injuries, some even resulting in wrongful death, as a result of their treatment at Fresenius clinics.
What is Fresenius?
Fresenius is a German prescription drug manufacturer that owns and operates dialysis centers throughout the nation, including fifty (50) in Mississippi and over sixty (60) in Tennessee, including several in the Memphis area. Fresenius also supplies medication and equipment to other dialysis clinics throughout the nation.
What is the Fresenius lawsuit about?
Between 2002 and 2012, the drugs manufactured by Fresenius and the dosages given by the Fresenius clinics while treating by dialysis patients resulted in significant injuries for many of their patients. The injuries include primarily heart attacks, strokes and heart arrhythmia. Some severe injuries even resulted in wrongful deaths. Between 2010 and 2011, there were over 1000 reported deaths as the result of heart attacks during the dialysis procedure at the Fresenius clinics.
